We now offer an easier way to view previous versions of a certificate.

You can do so by visiting the certificate. And clicking the “version” number of it.

It will then load the previous certificate in the chain.

There are 3 advantages to the Revisions Timeline:

1. Increases transparency with previous versions of certificates

2. Better use of “proof of time” as a content provenance quality metric

3. Improves security of the certificate over time.

Because the version of the certificate is already within the blockchain data, this means that it will never change.

We have also added the “previous_certificate_id” in the blockchain data, which means that it will also never change. Making the chain even more robust.
